First, a thyroid panel is a single snapshot in time of how your thyroid is doing…

On that particular day, at that particular instant…

Which is kind of like judging someone on how happy they are by looking at one photo on social media.

It’s not a holistic view of what your thyroid is doing over time.

And second, most doctors only look at your TSH, T4, and thyroid antibody levels.

These are all different thyroid-related markers in your body.

But when it comes to how much weight you gain and how well you feel…

The only thing that matters is how much T3 you’re able to make that gets into your cells.

So a doctor might see from the test that your levels are normal…
